Admission to Red Hill Academy is offered on a rolling basis
with no application deadline. Applications for the Fall 2008
semester will be accepted beginning January 2008. If you are
interested in applying for admission for your child to Red
Hill Academy, please follow the procedure below.
- Contact Admissions Director, Robin Hughes,
by phone at (415) 256-9312 x128 or by email at
rhughes@redhillacademy.org to discuss the application
and admissions process..
- Download and print all required and applicable
Application Forms. Alternately,
an Application Packet will be mailed to you upon request.
- Complete all required and applicable
application forms. Please utilize the Application Checklist
to ensure that your application packet is complete prior
to submission. The Application Checklist is designed to
serve as a cover sheet for the application packet. Submission
of an incomplete packet will result in a delay in the processing
of your application for admission.
- The following diagnostic evaluations
and forms must be included with the completed Application
Form(s). All documents must be recent (i.e. dated within
the last two years).
- School Records (current and past school
year)
- Official Transcript (please complete
the enclosed school transcript records release)
- Achievement test results (WJ-R or WIAT)
- Speech & Language testing, including
standard scores (CELF and TLC)
- Occupational Therapy and/or Physical
Therapy reports, as applicable
- Residential reports, as applicable
- A psychological evaluation that includes
a WISC-III/IV or WAIS-R
- A signed Authorization for Release of
Confidential Information for each of the following professionals
from the student's current or most recent academic setting:
English Teacher; Mathematics Teacher, Principal or School
Guidance Counselor.
- For students receiving mental health
services, including psychiatric care, within the previous
two years, the following documents are required:
- Mental health records, including assessment
with DSM-IV diagnosis.
- Psychiatric records, including assessment
and medication regimen.
- Parents not in possession of the documents
listed above must utilize the RHA Authorization for Release
of Confidential Information form to request the necessary
information from the relevant service provider. Parents
must provide the RHA Admissions Office with a duplicate
of any Release of Information form sent to any provider,
and this duplicate must contain an original parent signature.
- Red Hill Academy Admissions will process
the application as soon as all required information is received.
Applications will be reviewed for appropriateness within
two to three business days. If your child is determined
to be an appropriate candidate for admission, you will be
contacted to schedule an interview and a tour. If it is
determined that Red Hill Academy is not appropriate to your
child's needs, you will be notified accordingly.

One-time application fees are as follows:
Day Student with After School Program: $1,500
Day Student without After School Program: $1,500
Boarding Student: $1,500
After School Program Only: $100
Note:
- Application fees are non-refundable
if Red Hill Academy accepts a student as a candidate for
admission whether or not the student is actually enrolled
in the program. Application fees are refundable only if
Red Hill Academy does not accept a student as a candidate
for admission.
- Parents interested in enrolling their
child in only the After School Program should contact After
School Program Director Laura Taylor rather than following
the process outlined above. Laura can be reached by phone
